There is a railway station to town from here...There are shops restaurants and bars. The beach is cool to hang out on as half the surfers are chicks. There are two surf schools and several surf shops. There are loads of places to rent.
The waves are ideal for long-boarding and more descent than any wave in the UK. If you want more juice Danger Beach and Kalk bay are less than 5 minutes away and both can be reached on the trains. All the Atlantic beaches are about a 15 minute drive from here.
People are very laid back and so is the life-style.

First of all get a car. Without a doubt. Tons of spots round Cape Town, but you need a car. The city has some good powerful, but short breaks, and the scene is quite pretentious, but if you have an open mind you'll meet some good people. Down south it's more relaxed, down to earth crowd. It's true there are lotof pricks round Cape Town, but some great people too. P.s. 5 mil wetty, and shark repellent!

eish forums are full of people that just go off at eachother just cos they faceless. anyways, i reckon i would stay blouberg side, like big bay area. mostly because there waves and when then not waves theres wind if you kitesurf. plus very chilled vibe and not millions of people like at muizemberg
