Im looking to book a trip to samoa with my friend next winter for a month. i hear that the prime season to go down is during the summer, are there still consistent solid sized swells from december to january? I appriciate anyone who can give me some good info. thank you

From what I remember, Dec to Jan is probably a good time for it... just keep the reef in mind. Swells are decent, as it's cyclone season. Fave spot: Aganoa (Black Sand Beach) ...have to go a bit out by boat though... and Sina Lei isnt so bad either.

Hey, I was over there last July.. Plenty of swell but the trade winds were into the waves most days. Heaps of potential over there.. Locals definitely reccommended Summer, offshore winds all day with still swell about. Not sure if you'd be surfing the big name spots ( Coco's, Spot x,y tops) in summer though, from memory the other side of the isalnd works better.
