'Whats up dudes!!! This is cal as in CAL ifornia!!! Currently surfing out in Sou Cal but originally from Scotland. Well im actually ENGLISH but i do stay in FIFE. I have surfed in Scotland in 3xOverhead at a secret spot near a place called Burnt Island, cant tell you where it is beacuse i dont want it to get crowded, photos to follow. Just wantd to let you all know that you dont have to be in California or HAwaii to get huge surf!! The recent Hurricanes in the NORTH SEA have churned up all sorts of GNARLY swells, on thing i do say is if your not confident do not go in the water, rip tides and currents are strong and you do need a 5/4 winter suit all year round. Recommended board 8-9" 9" MINI GUN. I regulary tow in just off of burnt island but you can catch these Monsters by paddling !!!

I just happened on this site, and i have to tell you the info on it is mostly innacurate. i gew up in calif, currently live in central coast of cal. i know virtually all surf spots from mexico to san francisco, and do not rely on this site for a calif surf vacation. most info is bs. glad you are getting some good surf where you live. as far as calif goes, forget southern cal. totally crowded beyond belief. where i live it is a 4/3 year round, with hood and gloves in the winter, but we do get big waves in the winter, and no crowds except for the white sharks. i am 49 and still charge double overhead plus. keep surfing never stop, it will keep you young and happy. cheers.
