Trip to Valencia Surfing Spain

Hey whats up!  Im a student in Canada coming down to Spain for a 6 week study trip. Im a snowboarder and wakeboarder and im super stoked to get into Surfing.  Can someone run me some info about surfing near Valencia... where to surf, board shops, and any kinda links or info to help me out !!  Night life advice would be sweet too !

Its on the Med,
you might get some waves but they wont be that good,
there will be some other sports you could get into more around there perhaps like kite surfing or rock climbing....

wow- Valencia is so cool with Magic Mt. and wave pools; the rollercoaster is cool when the wave machine is broke and barrels can be in parkin lot amz we slide dowz hill. Ahhaahhh

Does anybody know if there are any waves at all on the coast between Barcelona and Benicassim (maybe further south- nr. Valencia)? going to the festival in July and wondering if there was a chance of getting some surfing done. cheers, toby.

Have had some ok surfs in Valencia after some big storms - around Easter was great 4ft, offshore and nobody out.  Not super powerful though.  Had some great surfs of some groins north east of Barcelona - again it was in winter.
