will be staying neer kalk bay in febuary 08 whats the surf like at this time of year and i have gotten older and am prefering the longboard expeiance noadays any suggestions

1. Fact 1: Kalk Bay works mostly in our winter months..April thru' Aug. Feb is 95% onshore @ KBay. It probably wont be working then!
2. Fact2: Longboards are not suitable in this fast little tube - when you take off behind the peak, everything is sucking around you and you need something small in order to adjust yourself as the wave changes shape in the dropping in process. Lboards don't have much rocker and the angle of he tube is greater than the length of the Lboard's ability to handle. I tried it once and I wasted every wave. My local mates were not stocked!!! Never again!
3. Go to Muizenbrg, Long Beach, The Reserve - Muizenberg is the lowest waves on the planet- it is perfect for LBrds....Bye
