surfboards for christmas

Hello everyone!  my wife and I will be travelling down on christmas day from Alaska and will be in Panama for five weeks.  I am 6' 200 lb intermediate surfer and my wife is 5'4" 100lb beginner and we will both be looking to pick up some surf boards while down there.  We will be in Panama city for a couple of days from the get go them will be travelling around from there in a rented car.  Any tips on picking up some boards would be appreciated. thanks a bunch and i'll see ya on the water!
