where to stay in nicaragua? Surfing Nicaragua

i have 3 months off from december 09 to february 2010. i'd like to travel around central america. the first 4 weeks i'd like to take spanish classes either in costa rica or nicaragua. maybe private classes so i learn a lot in a short time!

it has to be cheap and surf should be good. i'm thinking about san juan del sur. how is sjds?? are surfsports right there or do i need a car? i'm not a very good surfer... don't need huge waves.

please let me know if you have any tips about spanish school, accomodation, surfsports and so on.

Stay in Masachapa on the beach, at a little place called Casa LaSasso, the local surfers that hang out there will take you where you want to go.
