boat trip in august Surfing Maldives

Hey crew i am planning a maldives boat trip in august and was wondering if its a good time to go and any boats that would be recommended. i have looked at a few and they all seem super pricey?

went last summer with worldsurfaris on the handhu fahli and would recommend them. Heard good things about voyages and lineupexplorers too. It's alsways gonna be crowded in august at the spots around N Male, and none of the good boat trips come cheap. Suck it up and cross your fingers for swell, and head south....

thanks mate, gives me some ideas.. have been looking at a company called 'surfatoll' they operate a few boats of which the 'flyingfish' is available. they seem to be one of the cheaper options with a 7 day trip, have you heard any reports on them?

I've heard the name but nothing more. You could try maldivesurf dot com run by Anthony Colas a french guy who was a contributor to the world stormrider. I nearly went with them last year but the dates didn't work out. We ended up surfing with them for a couple of days at a spot a day south of Male before going back to N Male while they headed further south. They've got spaces in August. Could be an option as long as you don't mind Frenchies! The guys we met were cool...
