The name of the surf camp in Montanita is Casa del Sol and the owner's name is Randy Hood. Its been 3 years since I was there but the website is still up and running so I guess he's still the owner. The website is www.casasol.com and it lists his contact info.
Another person to try, Manuel who runs a bar called Mahalo in Montanita (at least when I was there). He's friends with Randy and its a small town so if your friend was there I'm sure they would know. I don't want to get in trouble for posting his email on a public forum. You can email me at [email protected] and I'll reply with his address.
Hope this helps!

I thought everyone knew about Greg by now. When I was down there the word around was that Greg was eaten by a lost Tribe of kooks from California. Actually, I heard they only ate his arms and parts of his rump. Several of Gregs body parts washed up on some kid surfers one day and they closed the beach for 3 weeks. Greg's head was later found mounted on a pole with a sign reading Locals Only' and his penis was discovered in a McDonald's Fish-O-Filet Sandwich. Litigation is pending.
