The World Lifesaving comps are in Lorne in 2006. If you get in early there is backpacker accom. in Lorne. Lorne can be expensive and will be packed for the comps. There is a backpacker at Fairhaven (18 km.East) but it is not always open. There are 3 caravan parks in Lorne and a spectacular scenic one at Cumberland river (10 km.west) also at Aireys Inlet ( 18 km. East)
